Born and raised on Long Island, Brian has been involved in countless community and regional theatre productions on Long Island and in New York City; with his most recent experiences being the National Tour of TheaterWorksUSA's Henry & Mudge (Mudge replacement), the 13th Annual Broadway Rising Stars concert at The Town Hall NYC (one of only twenty performers chosen out of hundreds of auditionees from the top Performing Arts programs in the country), Broadway Unplugged 2019 at Merkin Hall, and 54 Sings Broadway's Greatest Hits at Feinstein's/54 Below.
In May 2017, Brian graduated Cum Laude from CUNY Queens College with his B.A. in Drama and Theatre Arts as part of the Macaulay Honors College at CUNY, and afterwards completed Circle in the Square Theatre School's 2-Year Professional Musical Workshop. Since graduating Circle, Brian has been fortunate enough to work on several original musical recordings and readings including Brooklyn's Bridge (Washington Roebling), Dandelion (Dandelion), Safe and Sound (James), and Broadway Records' Wanda's World (Rehearsal Vocalist, Male Swing). When he's off-stage, you can find the artist formerly known as Brian J Rivéra pining for a bread bowl outside of your local Panera Bread, having a staring contest with a rude baby, talking himself out of that Long Island bagel, or curled up in a fetal position contemplating his future (probably also outside of your local Panera Bread). |
